Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated October 25, 2026
You can delete your cuil.si data at any time. This page explains how to delete single things yourself, how to delete your whole account, how to remove cuil.si from Facebook, Google and other networks, and what we have to keep by law.
1. Delete your whole account
You can delete your account yourself, at any time:
- Open Settings › Profile and press Delete my account at the bottom.
- Read what will be deleted, type your email and your password (if you use Google to sign in, sign in with Google again when asked), and press Delete my account.
- Your account stops working straight away. We delete your data within minutes and email you when it's done.
Before you start: if you're the only owner of a workspace other people use, make someone else an owner or delete that workspace in Settings › Team. If ads are running, pause them in Ads first, also in someone else's workspace if they use an ad account you connected. Campaigns stay, paused, in your Meta or Google ad account; delete them there if you want.
Can't sign in? Email support@cuil.si from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask a question to make sure it's really you. We delete your account within 30 days (data we got from YouTube within 7 days of your request) and email you when it's done.
Deleting your account deletes your profile (name, email, password, photo and Google sign-in link) and the workspaces only you use, with everything in them: files, posts and their results, brand kits, characters, films, automations, webhooks, ad settings and credit history. It also deletes the access keys (tokens) for the social and ad accounts connected to those workspaces. Your API keys stop working (they're deleted with the workspaces that go). In someone else's workspace you just leave: what you made there stays with that workspace, without your name, but the social and ad accounts you connected there with your own sign-in are disconnected, and their access keys deleted (the people there can connect them again with theirs). For YouTube and Google Ads we also ask Google to cancel cuil.si's access, and we delete what we got from YouTube. Unused credits and plan time in the deleted workspaces end with them. Section 6 says what we keep.
2. Delete things yourself, any time
- Files: open the file in your Library and choose Delete.
- Social accounts: in Settings › Social accounts, choose Disconnect. This deletes the access keys we stored for that account straight away, and anything still scheduled for that account is cancelled. A key that several accounts share is deleted once all of them are disconnected (sections 3 and 4). For a YouTube channel it also deletes the data we got from YouTube, and section 4 explains what happens if Google can't be reached.
- Ad accounts: in Ads › Ad settings, disconnect the account (pause its running campaigns first). This deletes its access keys straight away. Ad accounts connected with one Facebook or Google sign-in share one key, which is deleted once all of them are disconnected. For Google Ads we also ask Google to cancel cuil.si's access, and section 4 explains what happens if Google can't be reached.
- API keys and webhooks: revoke keys and delete webhook addresses in Settings › Developers.
- Workspaces (owners): in Settings › Team, choose Delete workspace, then type its name and your password to confirm (if you use Google to sign in, sign in with Google again when asked). Everything in it is deleted for everyone in it; invoices for its payments are kept (section 6). Pause its running ads first. Your only workspace can't be deleted on its own: delete your account instead (section 1).
Posts you already published on a social network stay on that network. Delete them there if you want them gone.
3. Remove cuil.si from Facebook and Instagram
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy › Settings.
- Open Business integrations. Depending on your version of Facebook, you may find it under “Security and login” or “Your activity”. If cuil.si isn't listed there, check Apps and websites too.
- Find cuil.si and choose Remove.
If your business connected cuil.si in Meta Business Suite, also remove it there: open Business settings › Integrations › Connected apps, find cuil.si and remove it.
This also stops cuil.si's access to the Instagram accounts linked to your Facebook Pages. Disconnecting the account in cuil.si deletes the access keys we stored for it straight away. An Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page uses the Page's key, so that key is deleted once both are disconnected. To also delete the rest of what cuil.si saved from Facebook or Instagram (such as Page names, pictures and post results), email support@cuil.si and we delete it within 30 days, or delete your whole account (section 1).
4. YouTube, Google Ads and your Google Account
- Disconnect a YouTube channel in Settings › Social accounts. We immediately ask Google to cancel cuil.si's access. We delete what we got from YouTube for that channel: its name, handle, picture and ID, and your videos' YouTube IDs, links and numbers (views, likes, comments) with their history. We also remove the channel name and video links from our log of webhook messages about those posts and from the automation runs those posts started, including what each step used and made. Your posts stay in cuil.si.
- Your videos stay on YouTube. Deleting this data in cuil.si doesn't change anything on YouTube. To delete your videos, use YouTube.
- If the same channel is still connected in another cuil.si workspace, or another channel from the same Google sign-in (they share one key) is still connected, Google access stays on until the last of those is disconnected. The disconnected channel's YouTube data is still deleted right away. To cancel cuil.si's Google access everywhere at once, remove cuil.si on the Google security settings page.
- If Google can't be reached, we keep trying for up to 7 days. Until then we keep the access key, encrypted and unused, only for this.
- If you connected YouTube and Google Ads with the same Google account, disconnecting YouTube can also cancel that Google Ads connection. The next time cuil.si uses that Google Ads account, it asks you to reconnect it.
- Disconnect a Google Ads account in Ads › Ad settings. This also cancels cuil.si's access at Google, unless another connection still uses the same Google access: another Google Ads account from the same Google sign-in, the same Google Ads account in another workspace, or a YouTube channel you connected through the same Google app. If someone else connected a YouTube channel with the same Google account, disconnecting Google Ads can stop that channel too: it then needs reconnecting within 7 days, or its YouTube data is deleted. If Google can't be reached, we keep trying for up to 7 days. Until then we keep the access key, encrypted and unused, only for this.
- Remove cuil.si in your Google Account on the Google security settings page. If you do, we usually notice within a day and ask you to reconnect. If you don't reconnect within 7 days, we delete that channel's YouTube data, always within 30 days of your removing cuil.si.
- Ask us: email support@cuil.si and data we got from YouTube is deleted within 7 days of your request; disconnecting the channel in cuil.si deletes it at once. This doesn't affect your videos or data on YouTube; to delete those, use YouTube.
5. Remove cuil.si from other networks
For Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and TikTok, disconnecting in cuil.si deletes that account's access keys at once (an Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page uses the Page's key, which is deleted once both are disconnected). Page or account names, pictures and post results we saved stay with your posts, so you can see their history, until you ask us to delete them (we do it within 30 days) or delete your account. Disconnecting doesn't remove cuil.si from your account on the network itself. To do that, use the network's app settings:
- LinkedIn: remove cuil.si on LinkedIn's permitted services page.
- X: remove cuil.si on X's connected apps page.
- TikTok: in the TikTok app, open Settings and privacy › Security and permissions › Apps and services permissions, then remove cuil.si.
- Facebook and Instagram: see section 3.
6. What we keep, and for how long
- Invoices and payment records: kept for 8 years from the end of the financial year (April to March) in which you paid, as the Companies Act, 2013 and GST law require, also after you delete your account. We keep only what the invoice needs (its number and date, what you bought, the amount, the payment references, and the name and email address it was billed to) and use it for nothing else.
- Sign-in records: the time, IP address and browser of each sign-in, for 180 days, as India's CERT-In rules require. After you delete your account they're no longer linked to you, and they're still deleted at 180 days.
- Records needed for a legal reason, such as an open dispute or tax case, a fraud check or a lawful request from authorities, until that matter is closed.
- Backups: deleted data, including deleted files, can stay in our encrypted backups for about 30 days. We use backups only to recover from a failure or a mistake; if we ever restore one, we delete your data again.
